In my dream I am FINALLY standing in the spacious house I’ve been trying to locate. I thought we secured it in some other realm, but I haven’t been able to find it in my dreams or memories or anywhere and I’ve been craving to be in this space. Suddenly we are there, standing in the kitchen, giddy with excitement. The big windows feel expansive and as I look around I can feel that we are going to actually be occupying this space even though the things from the previous owners are still there. I think to myself, “I hope I’m not dreaming, I’m so excited to finally be here!” and I look down at a ball that is rolling the wrong way and I know this is proof that I’m dreaming but seem to ignore it or just move on - too much excitement! I realize, much to my delight, that there is another big room off the side that I had sensed before but couldn’t see. I am filled with excitement and can’t wait to use it, imagining all the ways we can bring life and creativity to that space. And then I realize that we have access to the attic this time which I couldn’t somehow get to last time. We journey up a ramp, almost like an old narrow stone hallway in a castle, and when we get to the top I am both delighted with the steepled roof and windows on either end and disappointed to see that the beautiful space won’t be able to be built out or lived in because the ceiling is too low. Then I see that the person with me is not standing on the floor but rather standing on thousands of vertically stacked window blinds which are about five feet tall, left from the previous owner who manufactured them. I am beside myself with excitement realizing that instead of a cramped room, this is an enormously spacious room with really tall ceilings! The story goes on in much the same way. This dream coming on the heels of the article I posted yesterday about releasing my fears of exposure after my fashion industry adventures, which I highly recommend you read, feels like an amazing validation of this transition I am moving through.
